July 2026 Period Civil Servant and Pensioner Salary Increase Rates Finalized

Following the announcement of the June inflation data by TÜİK, the salary increase rates that millions of civil servants and pensioners have been waiting for a long time have been finalized. With the circular published under the signature of the Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek, the financial and social rights to be applied in the second half of the year have officially entered into force. This comprehensive regulation includes the updating of salary coefficients for public personnel, as well as the recalculation of numerous additional payments and social rights. Affecting a wide range of groups, from SSK and Bağ-Kur pensioners to contracted personnel, this new regulation will directly determine the purchasing power of workers and pensioners. Thus, the new payment schedule and financial rights valid as of July have been clarified, shaping the budgets of millions.

Along with the new regulations made, the salary coefficients to be used within the scope of the Civil Servants Law No. 657 have been meticulously determined and shared with the public. Accordingly, the salary coefficient to be applied in the period in question has been updated to 1,575512, while the base salary coefficient has been fixed at 25,794915. In addition, the side payment coefficient, which will be used to calculate various additional payments to be received by civil servants and public workers, has been explicitly stated as 0,499649. These current coefficients will serve as the basis not only for basic salary calculations but also for the calculation of many financial benefits and bonus payments that the personnel deserve. With the entry into force of these figures, it has become possible to transparently calculate the increase in public salaries. Public personnel will be able to calculate the definitive changes in their personal incomes based on these new coefficients.

As a result of the calculations made based on the announced six-month inflation data, the increase rate to be received by SSK and Bağ-Kur pensioners has been clarified. The salaries of the pensioners in question increased by 17,76 percent in July, directly reflecting the inflation difference for the new period. Thanks to this regulation, millions of SSK and Bağ-Kur pensioners have obtained an improvement in their salaries as much as the six-month inflation rate and rearranged their incomes accordingly. This update, which aims to increase the economic security of pensioners, serves as a precaution against price increases in food, rent, and basic necessities. Since the new coefficients entered into force as of 1 July, the salary differences to be calculated for the period until the end of the month will be paid separately to the rightful owners. It has been announced that due to the transition process in the system, the fee differences for the period between 1 July and 14 July will be meticulously calculated and deposited into the accounts of the relevant individuals.
