Turkey's Politics is Heading Towards a Multi-Actor Election Process

Turkey's politics has entered a period where the usual balances are being re-discussed. The discussion of the YENI Party led by Ozgur Ozel, the allegations of division within the CHP, and the reflections of public opinion polls with very different results indicate that the upcoming period will be much more complex than the classic government-opposition equation. AK Party continues to claim to be the first party by preserving a strong base. YENI Party seems to have created a serious expectation in the existing opposition electorate, but the durability of this support has not been tested yet. CHP seems to have experienced a serious break, but it still has a base that should not be underestimated. DEM Party and MHP continue to be the main actors of the game with their own electorate.
