Weekend air temperature in İzmir will reach 41 degrees in inner regions

A scorching heat will be effective across İzmir throughout the weekend. In the central districts, air temperatures are expected to rise to 37 degrees on Saturday and 36 degrees on Sunday. Authorities warn citizens not to go outside during the midday hours when the temperature is high.

While temperatures remain high in the city center, thermometers in the inner regions will exceed 40 degrees. In the Bayındır and Tire districts, the air temperature is expected to reach 41 degrees on Sunday. In Bornova, the temperature is expected to rise up to 40 degrees.

On the other hand, temperatures will remain lower in the coastal districts of İzmir due to the cooling effect of the sea. Air temperatures will be seen at 31 degrees in Çeşme, 32-33 degrees in Urla, and 33 degrees in Foça. In other districts such as Menemen, Bayraklı, Karşıyaka, and Buca, temperatures are estimated to vary between 37 and 39 degrees.
