Following the operation targeting İzmit Municipality, CHP members and citizens gathered in front of the municipality building to show support for those taken into custody and Mayor Fatma Kaplan Hürriyet. The message 'Freedom for Everyone' was displayed on the giant screen at the municipality building.

CHP Kocaeli Provincial Chair Erdem Arcan, in his speech, described the process taking place in İzmit as 'lawlessness and oppression.' Arguing that the operations are a political intervention against the will of the people, Arcan emphasized that the success of the municipal administration lies in touching the hearts of the public.

Arcan stated that no pressure will last forever and that there can be no greater power than the will of the people. Completing his speech with an emphasis on justice, democracy, and the republic, Arcan shared his belief that freedom and goodness will prevail.
