Renovation of Peru National Stadium with 145 million sol investment prior to Lima 2027 Pan American Games

The Peruvian Sports Institute (IPD) announced that the National Stadium will undergo a comprehensive renovation prior to the 2027 Pan American and Parapan American Games to be held in Lima. While the exterior of the stadium, one of the country's most important sports facilities, will be completely renovated, significant improvements will also be made to the interior spaces. The project will be carried out under a collaboration agreement signed with the National Infrastructure Authority (ANIN).

It was reported that an investment of approximately 145 million soles (Peru's local currency) will be made for the said renovation project. IPD President Sergio Ludeña stated that the construction and supervision process will be directly managed by ANIN, which specializes in infrastructure. It was noted that the IPD will transfer the necessary financial resources for the realization of the project.

Ludeña also emphasized that this collaboration is of great importance in terms of meeting the deadlines set for the Pan American Games. Authorities aim to make the capital's main sports venue ready for the international event with this arrangement.
