Moldova abolishes roaming in the EU, renewing its communication infrastructure

As of 1 Ocak 2026, Moldova has officially joined the 'roam like at home' practice in the Avrupa Birliği and Avrupa Ekonomik Alanı. Thanks to this, Moldova citizens will be able to use mobile communication services in AB and EEA countries under the same conditions as in their own country. However, this step is only the visible part of the comprehensive transformation the country has undertaken in its communication infrastructure.

Moldova's achievement of this success was made possible through long-term reforms and international cooperations.
