Investigation into Bribery in Üsküdar Municipality

The Istanbul Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into Üsküdar Mayor Sinem Dedetaş on charges of bribery, embezzlement, and establishing and managing a criminal organization. As part of the investigation, simultaneous operations were carried out at 11 different addresses, and 6 suspects were taken into custody. According to the findings in the investigation file, it was determined that individuals working at Kent A.Ş., a subsidiary of Üsküdar Municipality, gave instructions to municipal personnel through a communication network established via an encrypted and closed-circuit email system, despite not having official authority. Additionally, it was found that numerous 'consulting services' contracts worth a total of 1 billion 78 million 870 thousand 833 lira were signed between Kent A.Ş. and various contractors, as per the MASAK data.
