Vehicle of family returning from a funeral crashes in Amasya: 3 dead, 3 injured

A bitter traffic accident that occurred near Gökhöyük Kavşağı in Amasya has plunged a family into deep mourning. The Bilir family, who were returning to their hometown after attending the funeral ceremony of their relatives in Antalya, had a tragic accident when they were only 25 kilometers away from their home. In this tragic incident that occurred, the vehicle went out of control due to the impact of the collision and rolled down an embankment, resulting in the sudden death of three people. Health and security teams dispatched to the region after the accident launched a comprehensive investigation in the area. Authorities are conducting detailed physical evidence collection and observation work at the point where the accident occurred.

According to the details of the accident, the collision between the light commercial vehicle driven by Mehmet Bilir and the tractor driven by Osman Şahin led to a massive tragedy. In the incident, which occurred as a result of the vehicle being thrown off the road and down an embankment, the driver Mehmet Bilir lost his life at the scene. His older brother Yavuz Bilir and their mother Fatma Bilir, who were inside the vehicle, were immediately transferred to the nearest hospital as their conditions worsened. Despite all emergency medical interventions performed on the two severely injured individuals who were taken to the hospital, they unfortunately could not be saved. Thus, immediately after the funeral ceremony they bitterly attended, the family was struck by the sorrow of having to prepare for their own funerals.

Those affected by this grievous accident were not only the ones who lost their lives; other passengers in the vehicle were also severely injured. Müzeyyen Bilir and Selma Bilir sustained various injuries due to the impact of the accident, were taken to nearby hospitals, and placed under medical treatment. Additionally, it was learned that Osman Şahin, the driver of the tractor involved in the accident, is also continuing an intensive care and treatment process at the hospital. The conditions of the injured, whose health status is being tried to be stabilized, are closely monitored by doctors.
