Kuwait neutralizes 21 drones and 4 cruise missiles belonging to Iran in its airspace

The Kuwaiti government announced that it neutralized 21 Iranian unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) and 4 cruise missiles that entered its airspace during the military escalation between Iran and the United States. Ministry of Defense Spokesperson Colonel Saud Abdulaziz al-Atuan stated in the announcement that all of the mentioned targets were stopped and eliminated.

Although there were no casualties in the attack, it was reported that material damage occurred at some "critical" facilities in the country. While Kuwaiti officials described the situation as an "open Iranian attack," it was emphasized that the armed forces are on constant alert to ensure national security.

This incident emerged as a reflection of the Iran-US conflict, which reignited over the weekend following US President Donald Trump's termination of the ceasefire that had been in effect since 17 June. While Iran interpreted the US's re-establishment of the maritime blockade in the Strait of Hormuz as a violation of the agreement to end the war, it reported that more than 30 civilians lost their lives in recent US attacks.
