Father and son who suffered electric shock in Yalova have died

In the incident that occurred in the evening hours at a washing and lubrication business located in the Kaytazdere town of Yalova's Altınova district, 28-year-old Olcay Okur suffered an electric shock. His 53-year-old father, Samim Okur, who quickly intervened to save the young man, was also injured as a result of a severe electric shock. This tragic event experienced by the father and son, who were the owners of the business, caused great shock and sorrow in the vicinity. Details regarding whether anyone else was injured during the work accident have not yet been clarified. Health teams dispatched to the region had to provide first aid to the injured at the scene.

Immediately after the incident, numerous 112 Emergency Health teams were dispatched to the area. The injured father and son were placed in ambulances to be transferred to different hospitals due to their life-threatening conditions. After their initial treatments and stabilization procedures were completed, the father, Samim Okur, was taken to Karamürsel Devlet Hastanesi in Kocaeli's Karamürsel district. His son, Olcay Okur, who suffered the electric shock, was admitted to Yalova Altınova Devlet Hastanesi. Unfortunately, the doctors who made intensive efforts at the hospitals could not save either of them, and the bitter news was delivered to their relatives.

It was learned that the deceased Samim and Olcay Okur originally resided in the Dereköy Mahallesi of Kocaeli's Karamürsel district. It also emerged that the family owned the washing, lubrication, and maintenance facility where the incident occurred. It is reported that the father and son regularly worked at this business to provide for their family. This painful loss of the well-known and beloved family in the area plunged both Kocaeli and Yalova into deep mourning. It was reported that the business temporarily suspended its operations after this terrible accident and the family's relatives arrived at the premises.
