27 people lost their lives in a nightclub fire in Bangkok

A fire broke out at midnight in an entertainment venue located in the north of Bangkok, the capital of Thailand. While the rapidly growing flames engulfed the building, it was reported that the people inside tried to flee in panic.

In a statement made by Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, it was announced that at least 27 people lost their lives in the disaster and numerous injured people were taken to hospitals. It was learned that some people took shelter in the venue's toilets to protect themselves from the flames and were trapped there.

The fire was brought under control following an approximately 35-minute intervention by teams from three different fire departments. Authorities launched a large-scale investigation to determine the cause of the incident and announced that search and rescue efforts were continuing.
