Gasoline prices expected to increase by 1.60 TL starting Wednesday

While volatility in the fuel market continues, a price increase of 1.60 TL per liter of gasoline is expected to be reflected starting Wednesday. Following the sharp price hikes in diesel last week, this increase is anticipated to be reflected in gasoline prices as well. Before this development, which closely concerns drivers' budgets, congestion is expected at gas stations on Tuesday evening.

According to the information shared by journalist Olcay Aydilek, the 1.60 TL increase on gasoline will be reflected in pump prices on Wednesday. Last week, an increase of over 5 TL was made on diesel at once, raising the price difference between diesel and gasoline up to 7 TL. With the new hike, this price gap is expected to show a trend of narrowing again.

For diesel users, no new price change is expected for now. Industry representatives state that there will be no increase concerning drivers of diesel vehicles. However, prices remaining stable after last week's massive hike is not enough to ease the fuel burden on drivers.
