LGS preference applications start tomorrow: Process will end on 27 July

According to the announcement by the Ministry of National Education (MEB), the High School Transition System (LGS) preference process will start tomorrow. Students will be able to make their choices via the e-Okul system until 17.00 on 27 July. Within the scope of the process, selections can be made for central exam score-based, local placement, and boarding schools.

Students must first select a maximum of five schools from the local placement screen, starting with their registration area. Afterwards, students who wish to do so can make up to 10 more preferences for schools admitting students via exam, and up to five more preferences for boarding schools. This year, a total of 198 thousand 899 students will be placed in schools admitting students via central exam, and placements will be carried out based on score superiority.

To help students with their school choices, MEB has launched the "Rota Maarif" platform. Through this platform, candidates can examine the quota and physical facility information of schools. Placement results and vacant quotas will be announced on 5 August, followed by a transfer process in two terms.
