Road Plan for 23 Neighborhoods in Trabzon's Çarşıbaşı: Mayor Keleş Requests 10,000 Cubic Meters of Concrete

Ahmet Keleş, the mayor of Çarşıbaşı district in Trabzon, announced that a separate road work program has been prepared for all 23 neighborhoods in the district. The planning takes into account the population, road network, and needs of each neighborhood. Keleş stated that with the support of Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality, if an additional 10,000 cubic meters of concrete is provided, road works in the remaining neighborhoods will accelerate. He emphasized that a needs-based program was created for each neighborhood, with some allocated 1,000 cubic meters and others up to 2,500 cubic meters of concrete. The plans were prepared based on citizen requests, opinions of neighborhood headmen, and field inspections.

The scope of road works required in the district is extensive. Keleş noted that in some neighborhoods, the roads needing concrete reach 15 to 20 kilometers in length. He explained that works are carried out according to road usage intensity, urgency, and priority order of neighborhoods, and that it is not possible to meet all demands simultaneously, but the program is being implemented in a planned manner. He announced that they have requested additional concrete from the Metropolitan Municipality, and if extra support is provided, more neighborhoods can be covered.

Keleş said, "If approximately 10,000 cubic meters more concrete is given, we can complete an average of 1,000 meters of road work in the remaining 10 neighborhoods. Our goal is to leave no neighborhood without service." Addressing criticisms on social media, Keleş stated that every neighborhood naturally expects service. "Our citizens are right to expect service. However, no neighborhood is treated differently from others. We continue to serve all our neighborhoods with an equal understanding," he said.

Keleş also mentioned that the neighborhoods of Makam Kovanı, Şahin, and Çavuşlu, where work has not yet been done, are included in the program and will be carried out according to the planned schedule. The road investments aim to meet the transportation needs of local residents and contribute to the region's economic development. The municipality expects that upon completion, inter-neighborhood transportation will become more comfortable and safer.

This project, coordinated with Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality, is crucial for addressing infrastructure deficiencies in the district. Mayor Keleş promised equal service to all neighborhoods and stated that efforts to secure additional concrete support are ongoing. Once the road works are completed, Çarşıbaşı is expected to gain a more modern appearance.
