TÜBİTAK Science Centers Summer Academy FAQ

The TÜBİTAK Science Centers Summer Academy is an educational program designed to enhance students' scientific curiosity and technological awareness through hands-on learning experiences. The program aims to strengthen participants' interest in science and technology. It will be held in three sessions between July 13 and August 23, 2026. Each session lasts two weeks and covers the same content, so students can only apply for one session.

Applications are open to students who have completed grades 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 in the 2025-2026 academic year and will move to grades 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 respectively. Applications are submitted online at bilimgenc.tubitak.gov.tr/yaz-akademisi. The deadline is July 4, 2026. After submission, a confirmation email will be sent. If not received, contact bilimmerkezleri.duyuru@tubitak.gov.tr.

Evaluation criteria include the student's end-of-year grades in Science and Mathematics, whether they received a certificate of achievement or commendation, previous participation in TÜBİTAK projects and events, and participation in TÜBİTAK, TEKNOFEST, or international science and technology competitions. Students are ranked based on total scores, and those with the highest scores are accepted.

Final registration details will be announced via email or parent contact number after results are released. The program aims to develop scientific thinking skills and encourage technology-oriented careers. TÜBİTAK seeks to increase young people's interest in science through such initiatives.

The Summer Academy will take place at various science centers across Turkey. Participants can apply to the nearest science center in their province.
