President of Mexico Sheinbaum and State Governor Gómez Inspected the Construction of the México-Pachuca Train Line

President of Mexico Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo and Governor of the State of Mexico Delfina Gómez Álvarez conducted a joint inspection at the construction sites of the México-Pachuca train line, one of the country's significant transportation projects. The two leaders came together to inspect the ongoing work on-site and evaluate the current status of the project. Officials observed that this massive railway project, which aims to provide a modern and safe transportation alternative to local residents, continues without slowing down. During the inspection, the leaders were also given the opportunity to tour the area in a vehicle belonging to the Secretariat of National Defense (SEDENA). This visit once again highlighted how much importance the government places on major infrastructure investments and its goals of developing transportation networks across the country.

One of the focal points of the visit was the Xaltocán-Nextlalpan train station, which is under construction in the Nextlalpan region within the borders of the State of Mexico. The station in question holds great strategic importance as one of the two main stations to be implemented in the State of Mexico section of the project. The design of the station is planned to maximize the ease of passengers' transitions between regional transportation networks. Furthermore, this stop is designed as a modern and high-capacity transit center that will benefit thousands of people daily. It was noted that the landscaping and access roads are also shaped in accordance with the station's overall concept. Officials state that the station will also positively affect the economic vitality of the region.

One of the most striking details of the project is that the new train line being built will be integrated with other major transportation systems. In this context, the new Xaltocán-Nextlalpan station is planned to be connected via a direct pedestrian bridge to the Xaltocán station of the Felipe Ángeles Train (TFA), which is already an important route. This overpass will allow countless passengers to transfer between the two different train lines much faster and more seamlessly. Connecting different transportation lines in this way is an extremely critical step in terms of shortening passengers' travel times. This integration policy, frequently emphasized in Mexico's master transportation plans, also directly serves the goals of reducing traffic congestion.

Following the site inspection, State Governor Delfina Gómez Álvarez published a message of gratitude on her social media accounts to share her views on the project. In her message, Governor Gómez, who expressed her gratitude to President Claudia Sheinbaum for this visionary step, emphasized how vital an investment the line is for the local population. The Governor stated that this project is not just a transportation network, but a feat of mobility that connects different communities and facilitates the lives of thousands of Mexicans. Additionally, she underlined that the line is being built to meet today's modern transportation needs. The local population's need for this train further highlights the necessity of completing the project as soon as possible and flawlessly.

During the site inspection, in addition to the highest-level government officials, the technical teams of the relevant ministries and institutions were also present on-site. Experts from the Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT) and the Agency for Integrated Trains and Mass Transit (ATTRAPI) provided the leaders with detailed briefings on the latest stages of the work. This close inter-agency collaboration and coordination contribute to the execution of the project while adhering to the anticipated timeline. On-site inspections by the technical teams help identify and resolve potential infrastructure issues in advance. Officials announced that the work is proceeding with great care and that the entire technical staff has been mobilized to ensure the line enters service on the planned dates.
