Capital Municipality Mayor Galindo Celebrated the 600th Day of the 'Capital al 100' Program

Enrique Galindo Ceballos, the mayor of the capital municipality of the San Luis Potosí state in Mexico, announced that the public engagement program called 'Capital al 100' has completed its 600th consecutive day. To celebrate this important milestone, a comprehensive city improvement project was launched in the Balcones del Valle neighborhood. As part of the works, the infrastructure and amenity works for the section of Fuente de San Luis street between Fuente Esmeralda and Fuente de Naranjo were officially initiated. Local government officials, neighborhood residents, and representatives of various institutions showed a strong attendance at this opening ceremony. This initiated project is considered a strategic step to elevate the region's urban standards and increase traffic safety.

Mayor Galindo emphasized that the 'Capital al 100' program has achieved great success as a permanent initiative that is close to the people. Within the scope of this program, the capital government's teams regularly visit different neighborhoods, rural areas, and public spaces of the city. The main purpose of these visits is to listen to citizens' requests and complaints directly on-site and to implement concrete projects that will improve the quality of life in the city. On this 600th day, an intensive cleaning and maintenance operation was carried out in the Balcones del Valle area by the Municipal Services teams. The teams provided physical improvements in many areas, ranging from the repair of street lighting to general environmental landscaping.

Jesús Aarón Cerecero, Rector of the Mexican Red Cross University, who spoke at the event, offered his thanks to Mayor Galindo for this urban transformation project. Cerecero stated that this road, which will be newly paved and equipped, is of great importance not only for the neighborhood residents but also for the students and staff coming to the university. It was expressed that making the road safer, more orderly, and functional will ease daily traffic in the area and reduce dangers for pedestrians. Neighborhood residents also expressed their satisfaction with the start of this infrastructure investment they had been waiting for a long time. They stated that the environmental landscaping will modernize the overall appearance of the area and significantly improve the neighborhood's aesthetics.

Capital Municipality Mayor Enrique Galindo Ceballos noted that this road work is only a part of a larger action plan carried out across the city. He stated that as a local government, they carefully evaluate civic demands and have taken various steps to reclaim public spaces.
