Cyber crime operation in 29 provinces: 409 detentions, 213 arrests

A large-scale cyber crime operation centered in 29 provinces was conducted in coordination with the İçişleri Bakanlığı, in cooperation with the Emniyet Genel Müdürlüğü Siber Suçlarla Mücadele Daire Başkanlığı, MASAK, and Cumhuriyet Başsavcılıklarının. Within the scope of the operation, 409 suspects were detained, and 213 people were arrested. This operation has gone down in history as one of the most comprehensive actions carried out against cyber crimes in Turkey to date.

According to the details of the operation, it was determined that the suspects were involved in various cyber crime activities. These crimes include unauthorized access to information systems, data theft, fraud, and illegal betting. Security forces struck a major blow by conducting simultaneous raids on these networks, which they had been tracking for a long time.

The fact that the operation was carried out simultaneously in 29 provinces once again demonstrated how important coordination is in the fight against cyber crimes. Among the provinces were major cities such as Kahramanmaraş, İstanbul, Ankara, and İzmir, as well as many different regions. MASAK's inclusion in the operation is considered an important step in tracking financial crimes. The assets of the suspects were seized, while digital evidence is being meticulously examined.
