Oğuzhan Uğur taken into custody in Ahbap investigation

Within the scope of the investigation into the allegation that donations collected on behalf of the Ahbap Association were transferred to the personal accounts of suspects, 7 suspects, including Oğuzhan Uğur, were taken into custody. A detention order was issued for a total of 9 suspects in the investigation conducted by the İstanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.

Following the completion of their procedures at the police department, the detained suspects are expected to be referred to the courthouse on 20 Temmuz. The investigation is being carried out under the coordination of the İstanbul Police Department and the prosecutor's office, targeting the crimes of establishing an organization to commit a crime, qualified fraud, and money laundering.

In previous operations, many suspects, including the founder of the association, Haluk Levent, had been caught. As a result of MASAK reports and technical surveillance work, it was determined that the suspects made high-amount money movements inconsistent with their financial profiles and engaged in high-value title deed transfer transactions among themselves.
