2 injured in pickup truck rear-ending truck on D-300 highway in Kula district of Manisa

A traffic accident occurred in the evening hours on the İzmir-Ankara D-300 highway near Gökçeören Kavşağı in the Kula district of Manisa. A pickup truck loaded with fruits and vegetables rear-ended a truck traveling in the same direction towards Uşak from İzmir, for a reason that could not yet be determined.

Health, fire department, and gendarmerie teams dispatched to the scene after the accident started operations in the area. While the impact of the collision caused major material damage to the pickup truck, a passenger in the vehicle was trapped. First aid was administered at the scene to the injured person who was extricated from the trapped position by fire department teams.

The pickup truck driver and the trapped passenger injured in the accident were taken to Kula Devlet Hastanesi by ambulances. It was reported that among the injured receiving treatment at the hospital, the passenger was in severe condition and his life was in danger. Traffic flow on the D-300 highway, which was controlled for a while due to the accident, returned to normal after the vehicles were removed.
