Egypt's Minister of Industry Opens the 3rd Buyers Mission Fair: Target is 7,5 Billion Dollars in Exports

Mısır Sanayi Bakanı Mühendis Halid Haşim emphasized that the country's electrical and engineering equipment sector is one of the priority industrial areas. This sector holds a strategic position thanks to the high added value it provides, its promising export potential, and its direct contribution to local technology production. The Minister stated that, particularly in recent years, infrastructure investments and economic reforms have led to a significant increase in the production and export volume of this sector. Alongside the improvement of the investment climate and supportive policies, the accumulated experience of Egyptian companies has also been influential in this growth. All these factors have combined to significantly increase the competitiveness of the Egyptian industry in global markets.

These statements are part of a speech delivered by Minister Haşim on behalf of Prime Minister Dr. Mustafa Madbuli. The speech took place during the opening ceremony of the Third Buyers Mission Fair, organized by the Engineering Industries Export Council and known as the Egypt Power Show (EPS). High-level figures such as Council Chairman Engineer Şerif El-Seyyad and Energy Advisor to the Ministry of Industry Engineer Hüseyin El-Gazzavi also attended this prestigious event held under the patronage of the Prime Minister. Furthermore, numerous engineering industry company representatives and international buyers from 20 different countries were present at the ceremony. This broad participation clearly demonstrates the increasing reliability and regional integration of Egyptian products in international markets.

The Minister of Industry noted that the event has become a highly exclusive and strategic platform bringing together local manufacturers and global buyers. He expressed that such organizations strengthen the international position of the Egyptian industry and open the door to new commercial opportunities. The participation of international buyers from dozens of different countries in this mission is concrete proof that foreign markets' confidence in Egyptian goods is increasing day by day. Minister Haşim firmly stated in his speech that the Egyptian industry now possesses all the qualifications to compete at both regional and global levels. This situation is considered a highly critical turning point on the way to the country achieving its export targets.

Ministry officials extended their gratitude to the Engineering Industries Export Council for its steady and decisive role in the process of realizing the country's export targets. The Council supports Egyptian firms in all areas by finding new markets and continuously increases the visibility of national products abroad. The Minister encouraged the local companies participating in the fair to further increase their exports and expand into global markets. The Mısır Sanayi Bakanlığı emphasized that it is ready to provide all kinds of support to companies in order to increase production and exports, deepen local production, and strengthen the supply chain. This vision aims to solidify the country's overall economic independence and industrial infrastructure.

Following the opening ceremony of the event, Minister Haşim toured the stands of the engineering companies exhibiting at the fair one by one and met with the officials. During this visit, the minister received detailed information from the officials about the local production rates in the products, the innovative technologies used, and the international quality certificates obtained by the firms. The place of exports within the total production was also among the important topics discussed during the meetings. Additionally, Haşim held one-on-one meetings with representatives of Arab and African buyer delegations attending the fair to consult on developing bilateral commercial relations. Engineering Industries Export Council Chairman Şerif El-Seyyad, in his statements, added that they aim to reach 7,5 billion dollars in engineering exports by 2026 and are making intensive efforts to open up to new markets in this direction.
