Important data regarding the security situation of the province was shared with the public at the Expanded Security and Public Order Briefing Meeting chaired by Tunceli Governor Şefik Aygöl. Detailed statistics for the first half of the year were presented at the press conference held at the GAMER Meeting Hall, which was also attended by Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Brigadier General Bülent Baykal and Provincial Police Director Kazım Günay Demiralay. Comprehensive evaluations were made regarding public order incidents, counter-terrorism, drug operations, human smuggling, and cybercrime. Authorities emphasized that they will continue to work decisively to increase the peace of the city and reduce crime rates. The meeting served as an important informative platform in line with the goals of Tunceli's security vision and improving the comfort of the local population.

As a result of meticulous operations conducted within the scope of the "Terror-free Turkey" vision, a very significant success was achieved across the city. According to Governor Aygöl's statements, a total of 3 bin 272 mines were neutralized by expert teams in the first six months of the year as part of the activities to clear mined areas in the region. It was clearly stated that land clearing activities are of vital importance for the safety of the local population and that these operations will continue decisively. The mine clearance process stands out as one of the most important steps toward normalization in the region following the fight against terrorism. The Governor guaranteed that all activities within this scope would continue uninterruptedly until the last mine is cleared. In this way, both the safe use of agricultural lands is ensured and the quality of life for citizens in rural areas is improved.

As a result of the strict inspections and operations by security forces, a noticeable downward trend was observed in public order incidents in the city. Compared to the same period of the previous year, a 4 percent decrease was recorded in public order incidents. An even more pleasing development is that the rate of solving incidents that occurred has reached a record level of 98 percent. The inspection of 6 bin 034 workplaces, public businesses, schools, parks, and abandoned buildings conducted by security forces played a major role in preventing the commission of crimes. In addition, the capture of 820 wanted individuals during checks and their handover to judicial authorities was a critical step in ensuring the supremacy of law in the region. As a result of bin 186 incidents occurring in the relevant period, bin 80 suspects were apprehended, while 149 suspects were taken into custody and included in judicial processes.

Important administrative and structural steps were taken to increase transportation comfort in the city and to facilitate the daily lives of citizens. Following detailed inspections conducted in the city by inspectors from the Ministry of Interior, the General Command of Gendarmerie, and the General Directorate of Security, rearrangements were made at certain security checkpoints. In order to prevent citizens from experiencing unnecessary difficulties and to avoid duplicate checks, two security checkpoints across the city were completely closed. Governor Aygöl stated that the fact that there have been no complaints from citizens regarding checks for the past two years was welcomed by the inspectors. These developments were considered as an indication that the balance between security measures and the daily life comfort of the public has been successfully achieved. Authorities stated that they are conducting meticulous work to ensure the peace of the public without exposing them to unnecessary hardships.

On the other hand, decisiveness was demonstrated in maintaining order through implementations carried out within the scope of the Misdemeanors Law. In the first six-month period, a fine of 360 thousand TL was imposed on a total of 40 individuals for various violations, aiming to serve as a deterrent. It was reported that special teams were directed against modern security threats such as drug trafficking and use, human smuggling, and cybercrimes, and that operations are continuing uninterruptedly. The Tunceli Governor stated that all these data are a concrete reflection of the determination to make the city a safer, more peaceful, and more livable place. The cooperative work of the security forces with the local population was highlighted as the key to these high success rates in the fight against crime. It was emphasized that current security strategies will be developed and maintained in the upcoming period, and that regional peace will be made permanent.
