Zelenski: Rusya is 'Hallucinating' in Donbas, Has Set Deadlines for Invasion 15 Times

Ukrayna Cumhurbaşkanı Vladimir Zelenski announced that Rusya has set deadlines 15 times to capture the Donbas region since the start of the full-scale war, but failed to achieve any of these goals. Zelenski stated that the Rus political leadership is essentially 'hallucinating' about Donbas and has obsessively set targets for this region. He emphasized that the set invasion dates have been postponed consecutively each time, and that Rusya has exhibited a massive military failure. This situation is interpreted as clear proof that the Rus army has failed to achieve the desired progress in Ukrayna territory. Zelenski's nighttime statement once again revealed how far Rusya's strategic goals are from reality.

It was noted that Rus officials have continuously changed the dates for the complete capture of the Donetsk region, even within this year. Zelenski stated that Rusya initially targeted 31 Mart for this invasion, but shifted it to 1 Eylül upon failure. Mentioning that Eylül has also passed, he stated that Kremlin has now set 31 Aralık as the new deadline. It was stated that as long as Rusya does not end the war and insists on its current military strategy, this date will inevitably be postponed again. Zelenski added that this situation is a concrete indicator of how deep of a dead end the Rus leadership has entered in the war.

Zelenski issued a stern warning regarding the possibility of Putin sending millions of new Rus soldiers to their deaths if the war continues. He stated that Rus citizens who have not yet been conscripted into the army should seriously think about their own futures while waiting in fuel queues. Noting that a much more devastating and deadly battlefield awaits them, Zelenski warned the Rus public against this disaster scenario. He reminded that the Ukrayna side has taken all possible diplomatic steps to end the war and presented comprehensive peace proposals. However, he stated that Kremlin has rejected these peaceful initiatives each time and decided to continue shedding blood, placing the responsibility directly on Rusya.

The Ukrayna Cumhurbaşkanı also evaluated the statements made by Kremlin the previous day, stating that the Rus side has shown a clear intention to continue the war. He noted that the anti-war stance needs to be strengthened globally and that Ukrayna will increase its efforts in this direction. He emphasized the need to create much more pressure internationally to break Rusya's will to fight and force them to the negotiating table. Zelenski stated that increasing both military and diplomatic measures is essential to prevent the enemy's desire to attack. These statements by the Ukrayna leader show that the picture is not very hopeful regarding the end of the conflict in the short term.
