14 suspects detained in the investigation of Ahbap Association and Şile Municipality

Within the scope of the Ahbap Association investigation conducted by the İstanbul Cumhuriyet Başsavcılığı, the corruption allegations were detailed as a result of the Financial Expert Report. It was determined that Berkant Acil, who is under arrest, won the tender for the 35. Uluslararası Şile Bezi Festivali organized by the Şile Belediyesi by using the company Sur Müzik as a front and obtaining it through direct procurement.

In the examinations of the investigation file, it was revealed that a portion of the donations made to the association was transferred to the personal account of Yeliz Kaya, the assistant of Haluk Levent. It was determined that a total amount of 125 million 765 thousand TL was transferred from this account to the accounts of Berkant Acil and connected suspects.

Following the evidence obtained, law enforcement forces conducted simultaneous operations in the provinces of İstanbul, İzmir, Kocaeli, and Muğla. Within the scope of the operations, 14 suspects were caught and detained, while numerous digital materials were also seized.
