Horrible accident in Amasya: Car collided with a minibus, 1 dead, 3 injured

In a sad traffic accident that occurred on the highway connected to Amasya's Göynücek district, one person lost their life and three people were injured to varying degrees following a violent collision between a car and a minibus. It was determined that the accident took place at the Gözlek village location on the Amasya-Göynücek highway and caused widespread sadness in the region. This traffic accident, involving the vehicle driven by Selami A. and the minibus driven by İbrahim A., both temporarily affected traffic in the region and caused concern among the local population. All necessary measures have been taken to dispatch the required teams to the scene and to transport the injured to hospitals without delay.

Upon reviewing the details of the accident and its aftermath, it was established that one of the passengers in the car, Cafer Ak (55), lost his life at the scene despite all interventions, due to the severity of the collision and his severe injuries. This situation once again reveals how violent and traumatic the accident was, and following the completion of examinations and necessary procedures at the scene, Cafer Ak's body was taken to the hospital morgue for autopsy and forensic medicine procedures. An investigation is being conducted meticulously by the law enforcement officers and the prosecutor's office to illuminate all the details of the incident.

Immediately after the accident was reported, AFAD, gendarmerie, fire brigade, and emergency health teams dispatched to the scene coordinated quickly and intervened. Thanks to the timely and decisive intervention of the teams, the injured who were trapped or affected inside the minibus, Halit B., Ahmet A., and Osman A., were taken to the nearest health institutions by ambulances arriving at the scene. Although initial statements regarding whether the lives of these injured individuals were in danger were positive, it has been shared that their health conditions are being closely monitored and their treatments continue.

The Amasya-Göynücek highway where the incident occurred was temporarily closed to traffic due to the accident and security measures were taken. This unfortunate event at the Gözlek village location has brought the issue of traffic safety in the region back to the agenda, while police teams have provided the necessary guidance for the safe continuation of traffic on the road. Following the accident where the vehicles turned into a heap of scrap, cleaning work was initiated on the road and traffic flow was restored to its normal course.

The license plates of the vehicles involved in the accident and the identity information of the drivers have been recorded in the security registers, and examinations regarding the determination of the incident and fault status are continuing. The process of preparing traffic accident reports and taking statements from witnesses is being carried out meticulously by the judicial authorities. In particular, the technical details of how and where the minibus and the car collided are being examined by experts to determine the course of the incident.
