Drunk driver attacked police in Bolu, fined 350 thousand liras

A drunk driver who crashed into a median and then another vehicle while driving in Bolu was given a total administrative fine of 350 thousand liras. The driver was taken into custody after swearing at and attempting to attack police teams following the accident.

The incident occurred in İzzet Baysal Mahallesi. The car driven by K.Y. first crashed into a median while moving on the road, causing its tire to blow out. Continuing on the road, the driver was only able to stop after crashing into another vehicle driven by Ş.Y. Material damage occurred in both vehicles as a result of the crash.

The suspect, who tried to flee the scene, was neutralized by police teams dispatched to the area. An alcohol check revealed that the driver had 2.77 promil of alcohol and that their driver's license had previously been confiscated. The driver, caught driving under the influence for the third time, was taken to the police station for processing.
